Baked Birthday Cake Donut Holes

These Baked Birthday Cake Donut Holes are easy to make and kids will love to help! Dipped in vanilla glaze and studded with sprinkles makes them a perfect birthday treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups All Purpose Unbleached Flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Milk * I use 2%.
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Butter

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Almond Extract *May substitute clear vanilla extract if desired.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease donut hole pan and set aside.
    Step 2: Whisk together all dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
    Step 3: Add wet ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Do not overmix!
    Step 4: Scoop 1 tablespoon of batter into each donut hole cavity. Gently tap pan on counter to even out batter.
    Step 5: Bake for 7 minutes and allow to cool. Transfer to a wire rack set over a cookie sheet. Combine glaze ingredients in a deep bowl and use immediately. Dip Donut holes in vanilla glaze and garnish with sprinkles allow to set and enjoy! These are best served the day they are made!
